PCWellfile
is very flexible and can perform a series of property analyses and
sensitivities that
would have been very time consuming to perform without the program.
PCWellfile integrated
production data, workover information, pump information, deviation
surveys, IPR analyses and
netback calculations for related work. Integrating information allows
for quick and effective
technical evaluations.
PCWellfile is a template for "Production Engineering" and is instrumental
in designing plans to
optimize well and pool performance. This software simply groups
all the data that Production
Engineers use for day to day work and compiles a running history
of all work performed on each
well. We have improved efficiency of our technical staff by providing
them with critical data on
their desktop and retaining a knowledge base when individuals are
transferred or moved.
With the recent drop in oil prices, PCWellfile has allowed us to
manage downhole costs and
minimize production losses. The information assists us in making
prudent decisions on
working over marginal wells for cost reduction. Prior to that, the
program was used to review
well performance, focusing on production optimization. These reviews
resulted in identification
of unrealized production and action to be taken. In properties that
had limited production potential,
we performed cost analysis and identified opportunities for cost
reduction.
We have established performance baselines and challenge our people
to meet expectations
using measurable information. This was difficult and time consuming
to do with our original
data systems.
